Le violoniste et pianiste britannique utilise l'ordinateur comme un instrument acoustique (avec John Butcher, Thomas Lehn, Kaffe Matthews, Keith Rowe, etc.). Le saxophoniste français expérimente une approche très nouvelle du saxophone (avec Barry Guy, Urs Leimgruber, Günter Müller, Hans Koch, Axel Dorner, Sunny Murray, Hubbub, etc.). Un trio extraterrestre minimaliste, abrasif, viscéral, troublant.
